I agree with this one since it will allow people to undo what they did and get away with things that they should not.
You can only edit it for 4-5 minutes, if it's a massive problem for you, just wait those few minutes. It does more good than harm, you can remove messages as you didn't intend on sending to that specific person and clear up typo's or add text when doing business.
If the fact that it doesn't display 'edited' beside the message, add the tag and as a member, report it so staff can view it and they'll probably be able to see the history of the message.
