Renting a slot

Hello, I am thinking about bidding for the 2 week slot on MinecraftServers.org. It usually is about 3500$-4000$, is this worth renting and making a profit? Feedback is needed. Thanks,

Well I think it's really hard to make back all of the money you put into buying the slot. How ever it will increase your player base tremendously and will help you in the long run.
