Hey Minecrafters!

I'm planning on creating some server setups, SMP, Skyblock and Factions. I'm curious, how did you make yours?

I've already got experience configuring and making a server etc.

However, I'm not sure how to start, should I purchase a host for the server or request to use someone else's?

Any advice about anything to do with setups helps!

The way i make setups, well mostly i am hired. But i usally join other servers with many players on and then kinda play for a few hours to understand their systems and how they do thing.
Then i take what i have found and make a like, 10 words or sometimes 20 words.
Then i add what the client wants, to the list. After the list i then tell him to remove 5 things or change some of the 20 things there is.

I then go from the list and see if it would make the server unique in some way.
If you want to start making setups, and sell on here. I recommend checking out what is already here, do you want to make your own plugins or use already made plugins.
How do you plan to make your setups stand out. Will it be the builds, will it be the plugins used, will it be the price?



Custom plugins cost a lot to get made, unless you know someone. That will change the overall sell price.
Using already made plugins, well then you'll have to set them up in a unique way. Do over the notch configs!
Have Epic spawns and building, maybe a terrain plugin for making the overworld/main world gen differently.
Have the Setup be realistic in some way. Or use premium plugins, which can also take a impact on the overall sell price of the setups.

There are many things to take into making and selling setups. Youll have to stand out in some way or another!


Sit down, checkout what is there and make a list. If you just want to make setups of what is already there with a twist. Setting a price would be hard, and you would have to go for a low sell price due to people not buying it after a while.
