To whom it may concern:

Baker+ is looking for various positions on the management and executive level. Please read through this post, if you are interested and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out! Please note that since Baker+ is a non-profit project, all positions are unpaid as of the moment.

About Baker+:
Baker+ is the leading streaming platform for films and series made in computer games using their engines or modifications to animate camera movements. By distributing creator’s productions on our platform, we offer a focused exposure to their production.

Baker+ stands for high quality machinimas in all aspects. Baker+ aims to provide a platform, where users can go on at the end of their day to relax and enjoy machinimas of their favorite game and/or creator without having to search for hours on YouTube or rely on luck to get a good machinima recommended. In the span of the next few years, Baker+ should be established as the streaming platform and if one speaks of high quality machinima, Baker+ should come to mind.

The Positions:
  1. Director, Distribution and Content Acquisition (Executive Level)
    This person is responsible for the distribution of new machinimas and acquiring some of them as Originals. They will be in charge of developing their own strategies and processes. They can also hire and manage their own team.
  2. Social Media Manager (Manager Level)
    This person is responsible for the online marketing, brand awareness and recognizability. They will be in charge of social media channels and actively posting content on them to generate a bigger audience and create audience interactions.
  3. Community Manager (Manager Level)
    This person is responsible for creating audience interaction and activities on the Discord server and other platforms. They will plan their own strategies and execute them.
  4. Director, Development and IT (Executive Level)
    This person will lead the development department of the platform and oversee all developers and their tasks. They will also be responsible for acquiring new developers.
  5. Director, Talent Acquisition (Executive Level)
    This person is responsible for the team management and acquisition and will handle all recruitment processes.
The Requirements:
Most importantly, we are looking for people that fit in our family. We don’t just want to work, but also have fun together while working and for that, your personality and spirit should fit in. Even if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply, because everyone learns and if you’re a great person (which we are sure, you are), you can learn along the way. However, the ideal (and preferred) candidates should bring:
  1. Must be 18 years of age at the time of application.
    1. If the candidate has a proven track record in their field of expertise and is younger than 18, a legal guardian must sign the volunteer agreement on their behalf.
  2. Must be willing to commit time and effort to the project.
  3. Should be able to work in a team capacity as well as individually.
  4. Be a friendly and helpful personality that fits in our family.
  5. Fluent English in written and verbal form.
  6. A Discord Account (or willingness to get one, they are free).
  7. For Executive positions, prior experience in the field is required.
  8. For Manager positions, prior experience in the field is highly preferred.

I talked with Chakotay about this project, it seems to have a lot of potential and he and his team have a lot of passion for this space.

I initially inquired about the Director of Talent Acquisition position but decided to act as an HR Advisor for this project. If you're interested in high-quality film-making and want to help give creators a platform for their work, this is the project to work on!

This project has nothing but passion and hard work going into it, a huge vouch from me! :)
