So not only is Brexit happening on that day, but PayPal is also screwing itself over. What a time to be alive.

No, you're correct, but since a very large portion of MCM users come from the US, it also affects those of us (like me) that hail from the EU or other parts of the world, since a large portion of our customers will not be able to reliably use PayPal.
Y’all fucked memes for us so we fuck PayPal for you

I read up on this on some forums and everyone seems to be saying that on that day, everyone with a non-verified US-based account will get the “Claim It” message where in order to use their balance, you have to be verified. You’re still allowed to use a bank/card of course. So if you want to buy stuff, you can still get prepaid visa cards at convinence stores and use those.

Still though, if you’re under 18, just get a parent to make an account in their name and use that. This was bound to happen sooner or later, especially considering the huge amount of PayPal users using fake accounts.

PayPal used to have “student accounts” for people under 18, and they’d be linked to their parent’s account. Those were perfect for underage people but they got discontinued in 2016.

And all these “Glad I’m not in the US” posts are funny to me. First of all, if you’re not under 18, this won’t affect you and on top of that, considering that the majority (or at least a massive amount) of users are from the US, if many of those people can’t use PayPal, then RIP a large amount both buyers and sellers. On top of that, there’s a good chance that this same verification stuff will eventually apply to every country, and will only be expedited if a lot of users begin to use residential VPNs and make fake foreign accounts. Also - it’s not like you’re allowed to be under 18 and use PayPal if you’re not from the US. The only difference is that it will take a bit longer for you to be limited. The proper route to go is to always have an account with real info, such as your own or a parent’s if you’re underage.

Ya I was kidding, I'm fully verified already anyway.

I didn’t see you posted the same thing haha. But if I saw you posted that, I’d be confused af since ik there’s no way you do crypto exchanges without a real PayPal.
