If he is your partner and you both agreed that he would hold the servers funding, he has the right to take the money that you both agreed he could have. If you didn't agree that he should have it then it's your fault for not handling it before he quit.

I never signed a legal contract or agreement considering this matter. To say he invested $500 was a full out lie. He invested $250ish, but the money was spent on the website which he now has ownership of which has a value of $250.

You cant just leave a server and take all the server money with you... Thats like being the treasurer of a city and then when you leave the city you the all the money... its something that you just dont do.
