Scammed $280

Hey so I bought from this guy on discord and he was going to make me a custom prison server with multiple custom builds and features. I pay him $140 for the first payment and he shows progress updates etc. I send the other half when he's completed and he sends me random files and says here you go I look at them and say this isn't it and then he sends a few more and all of them were wrong. He stopped responding. I asked for a refund on the server setup due to that I never got it and he hasn't responded. I paid through paypal balance f&f I am getting on a vpn and logging into my paypal and am going to call tonight saying its an unauthorized payment or should I say that the dude scammed me and be truthful do they listen?

sorry to say, even if you try your hardest paypal wont do shit. you paid F&F and it will stay in his paypal still due to the fact you paid f&f.
maybe make a scam report on him.

I think that the VPN is an option, otherwise they do not listen. They will ask for proof but you can dispute it. I've sold something once and was paid through F&F, but somehow they still could've disputed it and he/she ended up getting refund, because I failed to send in valid proof. So maybe you can still try to contact paypal and ask for dispute.

Best way is to just say unauthorised payment. Worth a try, make sure you have as much proof as possible.
