What do you mean you didn't know? If you don't specify, someone is gonna come along and ask for something you can't do, wasting everyone's time. And thanks for the offer, however I do my own web work

Because you did not specify WHAT you do. Do you do frontend (html/css/js)? Backend? What backend languages do you know? Do you do forum design/themes? What forums can you do them on? XenForo/Enjin/MyBB/NodeBB? Saying "I do web stuff" doesn't help anyone.

I'm developing skills in html, php, css, javascript, bootstrap, jquery, and python actually. I've also have had my past experiences with multiple template platforms like xenforo, enjin, and wordpress. You don't need to get so technical in here on what I post via the thread. I do need to get technical because if someone comes along and they need some web work done and you don't specify what you do, they're not gonna know. That means they have to ask "do you do xenforo?", and if you don't, both your time and their time has been wasted when it could have not been if you specified what you can do. I am not shit posting, I am making a valid point. You don't see good devs like 1am, rex, and explodified making threads that say "I do website things" and getting the amount of clients they get. They detail exactly what they can do, which means less time wasted and less confusion.

So what if it was posted in web design and development? There are so many sub-categories of "web design and development". So you're saying that "web design and development" means you can do EVERY POSSIBLE thing relating to design and EVERY POSSIBLE thing relating to development? Okay.

Again, not shit posting. So me attempting to help you learn from your mistake, and to help other people is a bad thing? If so, then don't make the mistake in the first place. My points are all valid. Saying "I do website things" does NOT let me or anyone else know what you do. Any reasonable person looking at the thread would ask themselves "hm, wonder what he can actually do in terms of website stuff".
