This is very mean to say to a person.. Even for those viewing your thread it is making them think twice now.. There is no reason to be this mean and if this was to continue this will be delt with harshly some times
O well. The bullshit skript vs java thing just needs to stop its annoying as hell and very childish.
DamagedShadows all I did was make fun of skript, if you don't like it I really don't care lol.
Where is Skript EVER going to get you a job in life out of curiosity.. Where will you use this in real life towards a job. I write Html, CSS, JS, and Java.. I'm only 8th grade and I might get farther then you will with your coding of "skript". This might also get me some place in my life

We all have to start coding somewhere. Skript is just fine for those who psuedocode.
HTML is a markup language. There's no such thing as 'coding it'.

I don't really mean I 'code it' I mean I write it sorry, its a habit my friend put me in
I don't know how Skript works, since I have never familiarized myself with it, but I feel a great respect for the author, making something that looked like a foreign language easy to those that run from the beauty of Java. However, you always got to think about efficiency. Real developers and programmers, not coders, are obsessed with compiling time, efficiency, run time, and make something fucking work, because if you have a server with such a heavy load, then every plugin could make a difference. I can't insult Skript, again I don't know how it works, but I can tell you that you are doing an extra step, and those extra steps, little by little make a difference. Its like, lets say, what makes the difference between Chrome and Internet Explorer, just an example. While using Java exclusively, you avoid that extra step, write the code > byte code > JVM > BOOM!
Any idiot can code, in fact by definition a code is a system of words/symbols substituted for other words. So if I say:
cat = dog.
My cat is ugly, which is really my dog is ugly. I just coded something, BOOM I am coder.
You always gotta balance the pros and cons, Skript is cool and everything, making it easier for beginners and people that are not really that interested, but don't you want to challenge your mind a little? What the hell maybe you become a programmer in the future? and if you don't then what the hell you are not a programmer but still know a ton shit of stuff other people don't know. Or how about you create your own scripting language, inspired by Skript. I see Skript as an incentive and potential inspiration for novices, have fun Skripting as long as you give the good old uncle Java a shot. The only part I don't like that much is people making money out of Skript, but whatever my opinion doesn't matter.
