Fuck off, he can call them what he wants. If I could pay someone to make me a custom plugin or a custom skript 9 times out of 10 it'd be the custom skript if they did the same thing. If you want to have your own thread feel free, but I bet you wouldn't like it if someone told you that you're lazy for doing what you want to do.

Skript takes up excessive RAM and storage you do not need to take up while custom plugins are light weight, so why would you rather use Skript? Coding your own plugins are beneficial also because you can use the knowledge and experience to get a job out in the real world.

I don't see how it really takes much storage space considering it's basically a text file, unless you are referring to the variables. And I would rather have a skript because it is easier to edit. Ram I can understand but I've not noticed a decrease in performance that is noticeable

Skript doesn't need a lot of storage. The only thing that can be big is the variables file. But if you remake these things with java, you need to store variables anywhere and they will take storage, too. For a lot of things it's just faster to use Skript. And it isn't a good idea to begin a historical skript vs java war. There have been some on these forums before...

Obviously, the skript file doesn't take up storage.
Skript files are read by the Skript plugin, which is the thing that's taking up
space here. Custom Plugins have more functionality then Skript, and you can
do 10 times more in Java then by using Skript.

That's the reason why youtube is a slow and bad website...

No! A live interpreter is just minimal slower than a "normal" one. For example youtube is written in python. And the python interpreter compiles the source code in the same moment as it runs. But this isn't a reason why a programming/skript/whatever language is bad or slow.

Please stop making web based references. Java code
is already compiled before you run it. I could use raw values
and make a whole plugin in Java without variables. Variables litterly
take up no space. The reason I'm arguing is because I have previous
knowledge of this area, as I am a developer myself. I will start a war
if I feel like it, as I don't as of the moment, but "war"'s on a forum website
are more of a peaceful debate as we are posting opinions and not killing other
people on the forums site. "War" can be very conductive and educational for those,
such as you, who do not know how Java works.

1. Python isn't a web programming language.
2. That's the reason why you can't be a developer. Looks like you only have experience with writing minecraft plugins. But did you know? You can develop whole games and software, even apps with Java!
3. I know how Java works, I just don't use it all the time, because it's faster to use Skript at the moment.

I'm talking about how you referenced Youtube......
I know some HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VBS, not just Java.
I can develop games and software with Java, and no smart one.
Java isn't build to make apps. Learn Objective-C or Swift.
There is an API to build apps with Java, but it sucks honestly.
They have like one page of javadocs. Anyways, you probably only
know variables and how to log messages in the console, for those people
that say they know how it "works". There is a lot more to it.

I know HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, MySQL, Skript and a little bit of Java. I could learn Java. But I don't need it. That's all.
And with this experience I think I know how programming/script languages work.

If you think about it, Java is just like skript in a way, they are both translated. Whether it be using a compiler or a parser.
