Hello everyone,

Is it true that big scale Skripts effect server performance majorly or is it just a myth to put down Skript devs?

Someone coded an entire Kohi Practice plugin in Skript and I was wondering if it would be able to keep up with a server with 50-200 players without it causing TPS issues / memory leaks etc.

Thanks in advance!

Just a myth. I did a skyblock skript for a server with a pretty large player base and generated about 100 islands within a very short period of time. The islands were 101 blocks apart. I had no lag troubles at all.

I'm pretty sure the difference is near negligible.

However, you can do more with Java than with Skript (which is pretty obvious, however the multitude of addons address many of Skript shortfalls).
