I recommend not doing this. As Verringer said, how can it earn you players, if its not a popular site. If you really want to get players go to minecraftservers.org and spent $200. It will at least get you 20-30 players that will stay, It worked for me.

I would love to get a Minecraftservers.org slot, but it's hard to find somebody that wants to sell you a few hours.

He's talking about actually renting from someone who already sponsored the slot (People will sometimes rent an hour or so out for like 25-50$)

Yeah. Renting two or three hours for $100 will really bring the player count up. My friend rented a slot for an hour or so and he was getting 5+ players a minute.

Surprised so many people are bashing this guy - he went for it, tried it and admitted when he realised it didnt work as well as expected. Im surprised people call him a douchbag for his honesty.

Far more douchey thing would have been to carry on with how awesome it was and get as much cash as possible for it - knowing it sucks.
