Slot versus YouTube Videos

This is a legitimate question -- I'm not sure as to whether buy a few hours on a slot or buy a few videos from a Youtuber with 1-2k+ views per video.

My views: I feel like a Youtuber will bring in more players over time, but they won't be as loyal.

I feel like a slot will bring in more loyal players but will be more costly if I want to keep my server up there consistently.

Slots most definitely. With my experience, you want to shoot for at least 8k views if hiring a youtuber.
I've had little experience with a slot, but with the little I've had it was a better experience than a few youtubers that average around 3k views. Depends how loyal their audience is and if it's just one of those youtubers that viewbot their vids just to make profit from these things.

Thanks very much ! Just wanted to get some others opinions. I'm aware that I posted this in the wrong section, I just realized that actually. Whoops, I tend to have this issue pretty frequently, I need to look at the sections more thoroughly !

Youtubers can only maintain a playerbase for so long, I had my friend's friend get a video from Jerome and he had a huge playerbase for 5 days, then all died out. Slots expose your gamemode to brand new players usually.

What about slots for 1 hour? Would they be worth it too?

Youtubers are the way to go. Slots cost way too much money and don't impact player count long term. Youtubers bring players to stay and if your server is good, they get addicted and bring even more friends online.
Take it from me as I own Velocity, 400 player avg network, and use youtubers.

I've seen your server with #1 or #4 slot on .org at least twice.
edit - haven't seen a youtube video, just have seen your server from slots.

Type in "velocity-mc" on youtube and then filter it to view count. You can see most my youtubers from there.
