It should have a list of users that downloaded each version of your resource. It should also tell you what time they downloaded it, it should do this for every version of your resource. Not hard to implement and it would make it easier to find leakers of our resources.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I don't understand how finding out who has downloaded a resource will help you to prevent leaks, could you explain?
I'm actually a bit offended that you need an explanation. It's not very hard to tie the date of leak to when it was purchased by scrolling through the purchase tab since any page apart from the first of the manage licenses is broken and is super slow (I only use it for filtering who bought it by name after someone asks for help, which again is really slow in terms of loading). This has worked fine for me but being able to pin it down to a handful of users would definitely help, especially if a leaker is updating said leak with timestamps. Having the time and who download a resource would be a key aspect to resouce security/enforcement of ToS. I'm actually surprised this hasn't come up earlier considering how many mc-market products I run into outside of the site.

""Leaking"" only applies to purchased resources/non open-source products...

How would you leak something if you don't own a copy? I know some server owners give out ftp/root logins to admins and managers but it's unlikely they'll specifically leak a single resource rather than the entire server. Actually, I'm starting to see the hole in the idea now while responding, which is sharing with 'friends' who 'test' the product. I still consider it a decent idea as most people leak the day of purchase and it limits the leak to a group of people rather than guessing.

Perhaps we could incorporate something like Spigot has with the %%user%% placeholder as a more direct approach?

If I see a leaked version of my plugin its hard to find out who did it when i have many purchasers. if i see the version of the plugin they leaked i can check the download list and it narrows it down greatly helping me find out who leaked it

I'll move this to pending to look into introducing in the next resources update we have planned in a few months.

Thanks for the suggestion.

This was introduced with our migration to XenForo 2. Now authors have a 'Downloaders' tab on each of their resources which shows the date and time of each download made by users.

I'll mark this as implemented, thank you
