I think that the thread drafting section can be used in a better manner, or get deleted.

If we wanted to make it more useful - I'd make it so that threads can be seen by everyone, posts don't count towards total - and the only rating you can give is agree (which still doesn't add to your totals). This would help because people can get an insight to their thread design and stuff before they make it 100% public. Also, I would make it possible for threads to moved out. If that isn't possible, than make the prefixes [Draft] and [Posted].

Otherwise, the section is basically useless - we can see how the thread design will look if we set up the thread and don't post it - and it automatically saves if you close the thread. (there is a preview button btw).

just my 50 cent (get it hahaha).

Seeing how thread editing has been limited recently, sharing your draft with people for feedback first might be a good idea...
Though I'm not sure how I feel about unwanted people watching me edit the first draft of a thread. xD (Embarrassing)
I doubt it will encourage it's use that significantly...

The whole thing is more of an optional tool than a real section. It doesn't need to be active.
It's use is up to the members.

I haven't used it yet, myself... But I wish I had.
I made a thread a while ago, worked on it little by little for three days before deciding it was perfect.
Ended up losing it.
Now I have to remake it. ;-;

The Thread Drafts section isn't meant to be public and never will be. The section was primarily created for staff to be able to create threads and put them up for review (things like announcements, etc). We saw that it could be useful to members for the same reason, so the feature was added for members as well. However, making the section public defeats the original purpose of the section to begin with, so we are simply unable to do that.

I wouldn't say the section is useless, but it's definitely not something that's necessary. However, it can be beneficial. How beneficial it can be is up to you. Just because it's there, doesn't mean you have to use it. ;)
