I am selling my own Prison, PlotMe and Survival server for 300$, the whole spawn for prison is downloaded so I necessarily find your point invalid. It's how it is run and how is set up is the main attraction.

Edit: The gamemodes are all built on one server. Not 3 servers.

Im talking about a map thats been downloaded over 16k times and clearly says "You will not redistribute this file to anyone publicly or privately."

Fair do's. I still do not get your point, my server spawn for prison was downloaded however is not the main point of it. It's how it is in fact ran and set up.

However, all he needs to do is necessarily say that the map is an open source.

My point is hes clearly going against my terms that are crystal clear when you agree to download the project. He should not be selling someones elses work withour direct permission which hasn't been given at all.

It's an open source, plus he isn't even selling just the map that you publicly made into the public, it is being on the market for also configuration files and much more.

It's an OPEN SOURCE "project".

Clearly, if it's an open source project, they're not allowed to pass it along but to use it for a server? That's its main feature.

I see where you're coming from but, This server includes the maps from the free project, Even though its an "open source" project it's still covered by the terms/do's. "You will not redistribute" Giving out any part of the download (Including the map even though its not the "main fetature" in this sale) from a 3rd party is breeching this rules. Simple. I know you probly see how this project is open source and only the map is being shared in a sale of a full server and sounds pretty dull but I should be allowed to protect my work from being any part of a 3rd party sale as the owner of the sale would be making profit off something I gave for free even though you see the map as not being the main feature of this server. Thanks.
