We have an appeal system in place for users who believe they’ve been banned falsely.
If a staff member made a mistake, the user will have a chance to make that case to our lead mod, and then administration if they are still unsatisfied.
It is not and never will be something that’s up for community debate. Not least of all because a lot of information handled in bans involving blackmail and other ban reasons involve personal information which cannot be disclosed. More to the point, handling unbans publicly would also make ban immunity a popularity contest.
