What form of hosting should I use for a forum?

I'm looking to create a Xenforo forum for a non-minecraft related purpose, though I'm unsure on how I should host the website.

What are my options when it comes to web hosting? Am I better off getting some type of VPN/dedi or just going with a web hosting service? How much bandwith and storage should I need for a forum?

If you know you're going to be getting loads of traffic, rigbymacs is right. But if you aren't expecting much traffic, even just to start off with, you can get web hosting as cheap as 80 cents a month, which will still run a forum.

Check out XHostFire he has a Web hosting company. It's like 6$ a month or something along those lines.
