I'm looking into buying a gaming pc around $1,000 maybe a little more, and was wondering what brand and processor I should get?

Just a heads up, a new generation of RTX-cards will launch soon. Might want to wait for that before building anything ;)

I have a video editing setup, but i also play games on it.

My setup:
Ryzen 3700x
GTX 1650
32 Gigs DDR4 Ram
SSD

Tbh with you, i find the gtx 1650 fine for gaming, but if you have a bit more to spend you can try the Radeon Vega 56
no one needs 32gb ram for gaming/

Hiya, I recommend using AMD Ryzen processors as they are better at multi-tasking than Intel and continue to greatly improve in the gaming world, as well as being less expensive ^-^

P.S - I agree with the above comments, building your own PC will give you greater control, and will also be cheaper.

Okay, so personally I would wait until 2021 to build a new gaming computer (prices will be down significantly on GPU’s and CPU’s) and price gouging will be gone aswell as corona.

But if you want just pure gaming, I’d suggest getting these main parts

- Ryzen 7 3700x
- RX 5700XT or one of the new big navi GPU’s
- a 500GB m.2
- 1x 1TB SSD & 2x 2TB HDD (personal preference for the extra HDD’s)
- Preferably a B450 or a X570
-16GB 3600Mhz ram

All of this should total around $800ish giving u $200 to work with. If your gonna do streaming, editing & motion effect creation. I’d suggest getting a RTX 2070 Super & 32GB of 3600Mhz RAM.

Most people will disagree with me putting in a 5700XT right now. But it’s like 25-35% better than a 2060 super which is $50 more and 5% worse than a 2070 super and that’s around $125 more.
