I have a custom built desktop PC (for gaming), so it's not factory-made. I have a Turtle Beach x12 headset and want to use it. Where on my PC do I plug in the thing to? USB part is fine, just not the green one. I tried plugging it into the designated Headset jack on top of the case (I have a NZXT S430 Blue/Black Case) but that didn't work.

Anybody know where?

I have a Logitech G230 headset and what I did for mine was plug it in the front where I have two audio jacks but also have two at the back. I suggest either getting a new headset or trying to find a fix.

no I mean, does it not play sound, or does your PC not detect it at all?
It doesn't play sound normally, no. I don't have speakers. But when I plug in the USB and the audio jack in the right spot, it still says "No speakers or headphones plugged in". When I try to diagnose the problem, it says "Windows can't diagnose the problem".

hm, then it may indeed be due to it being custom built. did you build it yourself or have someone else do it?
I built it. Everything else works great.

When i had a laptop it only had a spot for headphones, But i have that same headset. So i got one of these and it worked fine, the store i got it from closed. but essentially this is it:

Thank you very much! I'll be ordering this very soon.

(I have a PX22) With my headset, the USB cord usually takes care of the audio and the other cord (which is black) plugs into the pink female port for the mic.

well, since you built it yourself its unlikely there's something missing or different. it seems HTC has offered a solution, so that's good.[DOUBLEPOST=1454180686,1454180572][/DOUBLEPOST]

I think I have the same model. I wouldn't know which one uses the microphone though, since I use another microphone (one of much better quality) for audio input. still, interesting to see someone with the exact same model.

All you need should be a usb drive with a microphone and speaker jack. I had the same problem and this fixed it for me

If you're plugging it into the headphone jack that's on the case, then make sure the cable for that is plugged into your motherboard correctly.
Have you tried plugging it directly into the headphone jack on your motherboard? You might also need to mess around a little with the settings for your on-board soundcard.
