Mojang has hit an all time low.

First we see that Mojang has released the shittiest update where it takes 10 hits of clicking fast-ish to kill a kill.

Second, We see 40% or so accounts have been locked and most of them not even alts, actual $26 accounts

Third, Factions servers, yes you heard it, faction servers are upgrading to 1.9

I mine as well go back to club penguin,

Mafiacraft is updating to 1.9, RIP LOL, not to mention they have no gapple cool down

That andersite and granite they added a few updates ago... They should of fixed the textures of it like everyone asked. (pointless blocks)
and now we got end bricks and purple blocks (also pointless)

Look, I think we all knew at some point that Minecraft was going to go down the drain. Things don't last forever sadly. If you don't like 1.9 then don't play it. Nothing will change, Mojang has shown us that they care more about their money than the community so it's a lost cause to believe they can make Minecraft what it once was.

I'm really starting to think that Notch left simply because he wished that Minecraft could have a proper ending on a good update but Mojang refused to let that happen. I think the greed that has consumed Mojang is what really forced Notch to leave.

2. 40% is way too much of an overstatement. Yes a lot of accounts were locked including mains bought through their website but I don't think around 8,000,000 or even a couple hundred thousand accounts were locked more so a couple thousand maybe a bit over ten thousand at most.
3. There is a way of making hits go back to what it is like in 1.8 and adding limitations like item blocks or modifying effects given but most servers will eventually update whether its as soon as possible or in the future for one reason or another.
