Why MCM gives me hope for the future.

As you all know the world is currently under the craziest times that anyone has witnessed from this young generation. The riots, coronavirus, the Australian wildfires, and an almost war on Iran. I considered myself lost for words. After all, I have to learn a lot about Insurance because I was getting some, and I did not know that all the damage done from all this stuff is not covered. It made me consider if in the future people will continue to open companies with fears of looting and destruction. I also see a change in people's political views from capitalism to socialism because I believe that you should work for what you have. I was lost for a hot minute wondering if my Great country America has a future. Everyone I know has no intention of working and dreams of buying drugs and living off mom and dad's money. But, YOU the MCM community give me hope. We are the future. You all are the biggest hustlers on the planet despite lots of y'all being little kids with no professionalism or manors or just flat out annoying. You all give me hope. I've seen kids out here fighting making $1,$2, $3 an hour. It's the rawest form of my belief that capitalism is great and you all work for nothing in lots of cases. Y'alls hard work and desire to work is what will bring this world up when it seems to be in the ashes. You are all the future.



I am a college student who has just realized this about how I at 12 years old started selling logos to people for $4-$7 a pop. I made no money and worked countless hours but, it gave me the drive to do bigger and better things. I hope you all will not lose your will.

I've actually been thinking of making a similar thread. To me, mcm is not really about making money. In fact, I've barely made a dollar here in the last year (although I do use skills I've learned here to earn it elsewhere). For me this place is a starting point for bigger journies, and I truly believe that a far bigger percentage of MCM-users than "normal" people of a similar age will be successful in life - and that's mostly for the same reasons as you wrote. People here take it in their own hands to get what they want instead of praying to get lucky.

The easiest way to make money here is to put yourself out there. Be the first person to respond to a request. Keep upping your threads. Even without any skills (right now), you can do a lot of the services a lot of people offer here. If it's cheap enough, people will buy. Do your very best for all requests and you will grow skills that allow you to charge more. See the first couple months as a free learning experience, and see the money as a nice bonus.

Being apart of this community has taught me how to deal with inappropriate toxicity in a workplace, how to bounce back from poor investments, and differentiate good advice from bad advice. All of these are incredibly valuable real life skills that I, and many others have learned exclusively from the minecraft-server community.

Not everyone is here to scam. Most people are legit, but there are a few bad apples (like all online marketplaces). I've never scammed anyone and don't plan to do it either.
