    I personally believe it's mainly to do with how your server is operated and what functionalities you will need. 1.14 was notoriously laggy and I felt as the version was rushed, (maybe to increase sales, get features out, especially with 1.16 coming soon, I really don't know).     I worked as Developer/System Admin for Luke and CYT for 2 (more likely 1.5) years, and still do occasional work for him. If you've got humour similar to the community and can get work done within a reasonable amount of time, it's a great work environment.
