Hello everyone,
We're looking for an experienced Java developer to join us for the long-term. You will be the only developer on our team as of now. More will likely join in the future.

A bit about us
We're a highly experienced Towny server that's been around for 3 years and are looking towards change. CYT has been through it's rough and tough times but has always pulled through, regardless of what occurred. We've been using mostly Spigot plugins for the past 3 years and are looking to gain more control and customisability for our players. We feel strongly that custom is far superior to what Spigot can offer, and other servers have proved that.

What would we look for in a Developer? (* is not required, but a nice trait to have)
Portfolio
2+ years of Java Experience
Experience with MongoDB/MySQL and (not required) H2
Experience with Ubuntu/CentOS*
Experience with CraftBukkit/Spigot
Demonstrates creativity and problem-solving skills
Speaks English fluently

What do we require from you?
Unlimited revisions per plugin (whilst you're working with us)
Source code per plugin (must not be public but sent to us)
Of legal age in your country/state to sign an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement; this is required because of source code, we cannot take chances)
You do not need to be exclusive to us, but you must prioritise our requests before any other commissions.

What will I be paid?
You'll be paid per-project via PayPal. Payments will vary.
PayPal G&S : 50% upfront and 50% after completion

How can I apply?
Please DM me on MCM or via discord: lukemango#5552

When will I start?
We'll be looking for our accepted applicants to start within 2-3 weeks of their application being approved. It only takes this long because we plan out what we'd like you to do and work out pricing, timing and release dates.

Can I check the server out first?
Sure; mc.craftyourtown.com (1.15.2 only) / https://discord.gg/pfqb9C3

Proof that you own the server?
Check my linked Minecraft accounts (on MCM) and make sure it's the same as the Owner on the server.

What's the community like?
Humorous; very. Just how we like it.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Why don’t you just pay via F&F?

We've run into issues before where they'll take the 50% upfront, not do any work and then we can't get it back.

Then don't pay them upfront. There's no need for that. They will get their money after they do the work.

The only reason we did was that it was their request, if the person wanted payment after the plugin was complete, I don't see any reason why F&F would be off the table.~

I'll edit our post to make this more clear

Okay thanks! I would accept this offer, but I prefer not signing an NDA.

I worked as Developer/System Admin for Luke and CYT for 2 (more likely 1.5) years, and still do occasional work for him. If you've got humour similar to the community and can get work done within a reasonable amount of time, it's a great work environment.
