Usually keeping an eye on the console helps a lot, yaml errors are often pointed out there (encountered several of these issues when I was setting things up in the past. Stacktraces may also help if you understand them that is. Also, if you happen to get stuck, don't hesitate to ask for help...
Did not purchase it (yet?) however, you might wanna have a look at the Lite version for a first glimpse- obviously less features but free if it fits you, you could consider buying it :)
A back button should work like that:

Then change the executed command to be /upgrade, should do the trick
