◆ What is GlymeraTameFly?
GlymeraTameFly is a comprehensive taming, riding, and flying plugin for Hytale. It makes 50 additional creatures tameable on top of the 18 vanilla animals. Every tamed animal is rideable, and every tamed animal can be upgraded to a flying mount with a Light Feather.
Three systems in one plugin:
- Taming — 50 new animals via food taming or Feedbag-hit taming
- Riding — All tamed animals rideable, from tiny mice to massive cave rexes
- Flying — Upgrade any tamed animal to a flying mount with a Light Feather
◆ Two Taming Methods
▸ Native Taming — 13 Neutral Animals
Hold the right food, right-click the animal. Works like vanilla taming — deer, moose, antelope, armadillo, tortoise, and more.
▸ Feedbag-Hit Taming — 37 Predators, Vermin & Critters
Hit the animal with a Feedbag 3 times within 30 seconds. Each hit consumes 1 Feedbag. The animal takes zero damage during taming. Progress messages show "Taming Wolf_Black: 1/3" etc.
◆ Flying Upgrade
- Tame any animal (either method)
- Hit the tamed animal with a Light Feather (1 hit, feather consumed)
- The animal transforms into its flying variant — permanently!
Controls: Space = fly up, Ctrl/Shift = descend, max height 300 blocks. Safe dismount at any height. Barrier blocks cleaned up automatically.

- All flyable — 82 flying mount variants (exception: Skrill)
- Zero damage taming — Animals are safe during Feedbag taming and feather upgrade
- Heart particles — Visual confirmation on tame and upgrade
- Cooldown system — 60s cooldown between taming (configurable)
- Per-animal overrides — Enable/disable taming and flying per species
- Disconnect safe — Barrier blocks cleaned up on disconnect
- /fly command — Manual flight toggle while mounted
- Single JAR installation — No external dependencies

- Stop your Hytale server
- Copy GlymeraTameFly.jar into your server's /mods folder
