Changelog v1.2
Security
A critical issue where SQL configuration was located within a shared file has been fixed.
The SQL configuration has been moved to a server-only file.
The client no longer receives SQL-related data.
UseMySQL, MySQL, PersistenceTable, usernames, passwords, and other sensitive data have been verified to ensure they are not in files sent to the client.
The addon's upload structure has been improved to properly separate shared, client, and server files.
Orbital Bombardment System
The old, malfunctioning orbital bombardment system has been replaced.
A new bombardment system has been integrated.
Bantling can now be executed from RTS mode by selecting a capital ship and marking a zone.
Orbital shots now land directly on the selected zone.
New orbital laser visual effects have been added.
Faction-specific effects have been added:
Republic: Green laser.
CIS: Red laser.
Added configurable damage, radius, delay, number of shots, and spread.
Replaced the old bombing marker with a larger, visually distinct one.
RTS Camera
The RTS camera system was replaced/adapted, based on the behavior of the GRN RTS EventMaster system.
The camera now uses RTS-style movement with center, distance, and rotation.
Camera movement was improved with:
W A S D to move the camera.
Q/E to rotate.
Z/C to change the tilt.
Middle mouse button to drag the map.
Fixed issues where the player could get stuck in RTS mode.
Improved the cleanup of RTS mode when closing/canceling.
Added support for canceling actions with ESC or right-click.
RTS Zoom
Fixed the zoom in RTS mode.
The zoom now modifies the actual camera distance.
The mouse wheel no longer permanently interferes with menu scrolling. Zooming now works in the following ways:
Mouse wheel over the map.
O + mouse wheel when the cursor is over the menu.
If the player uses the wheel over the menu without pressing O, the menu scrolls normally.
A bridge between HTML/DHTML and Lua was added so that zooming works even when the interface captures the wheel.
User Interface
A new GRN RTS EventMaster-style UI was integrated.
Part of the previous design was replaced with a cleaner, more tech-oriented interface.
An RTS-style side panel was added.
A visual control panel was added so the player knows how to move the camera.
Key indicators were added within the interface.
Menu navigation was improved.
The issue where using Move prevented returning to the main menu was fixed.
Now, when entering ship move mode, it can be canceled with:
ESC
right-click
Back/Cancel button
Warnings were added if the player attempts to use actions without having a capital ship selected.
