How It Works- A player types /vc link in the game.
- Java Players: Receive a secure, one-time clickable link in chat. Bedrock Players: Receive a pop-up Form UI with a secure PIN to enter on the web.
- The player opens the sleek Web UI on their browser.
- They allow microphone access, and they are instantly connected to the proximity chat!
Music Speaker Feature Want to play music in your server?- Get a speaker item using /vc speaker.
- Place the speaker block anywhere in the world.
- Open your VoiceChat web tab, and you'll see a Music Player menu.
- Upload any audio file, and the music will realistically emit from the block's location in 3D space!
Commands & Permissions- /vc link - Generate a voice chat link or PIN. (Default: Everyone)
- /vc speaker - Give yourself a Speaker block. (Permission: hjvoicechat.speaker)
- /vc reload - Reload the config.yml. (Permission: hjvoicechat.reload)
Technical Details- Tested Version: Paper 1.21.1 to 26.2 (Supports modern Paper/Folia forks).
- Port Forwarding: You only need to open one port (Default: 48122) for the built-in Javalin web server. No complex database setup is required.
- HTTPS Required: A reverse proxy (e.g., Nginx or Cloudflare Tunnel) is required to secure the web server with https://, as modern browsers require HTTPS for microphone access.
