Very good extension.
This Proxmox extension significantly simplifies VM provisioning compared to WHMCS, offering a clean and intuitive interface that makes management straightforward. The setup process is smooth and the integration works reliably for basic VM deployment.
What I like:
1. Streamlined VM provisioning workflow
2. Clean, user-friendly interface
3. Reliable integration with Proxmox
4. MUCH simpler than WHMCS
Areas for Improvement:
1. LXC container support would be a valuable addition
2. Built-in SSH access management is needed
3. In my case, VNC console required manual fix for fullscreen functionality
***Important Fix for VNC Fullscreen Issue***
If your clients are experiencing "Fullscreen request denied" or permission errors in the VNC console when clicking fullscreen icon, here's the solution:
Conclusion:
Despite requiring a simple manual fix for VNC fullscreen, this extension provides excellent value for Proxmox management. With future additions of LXC support and SSH management, it could become the definitive solution for Proxmox hosting automation.
Good extension for Proxmox just works like shown in the images and it's a drag and drop install. Also, Corwin is really kind and helpful, and open to suggestions to take this resource to the next level. Would love to see a firewall manager, SSH keys manager, and password reset button!
This extension is amazing and has many features that greatly simplify the life of someone like me who is unemployed and trying to start a job selling VPS.
The level of configuration for it in Proxmox is quite high. I've been trying to configure it for a month. I had a lot of difficulty with certificate issues because instead of installing it in Nginx or Apache, I installed it through haproxy because I'm on a pfsense. The extension worked, but in the entire system, I couldn't access anything external because there was a confusion: the request was in https but the request was in https, so the locations returned an error. I had to ask for help from AI because it was way beyond my intelligence to solve it alone. I managed it, and today I can create the server and it is automated in Proxmox. My only problem is accessing the VNC panel through the website because Proxmox is on an internal IP and not an external one, but I believe it will be easy to solve. Later, I will try to solve the payment issue via PayPal and PIX because I'm from Brazil. Developer, you're a fantastic person. I highly recommend your system to anyone thinking about starting a payment-based business.
www.steffinity.com is my company, which I'm trying to start. I believe it will be ready within a month.
Developer, if you ever think about giving away a lifetime license for your system, remember me; I'll be very happy.
The developers are top notch. Had a few small issues with the plugin and they were fixed within hours. The assistance and response times provided is unrivaled as this plugin is the same devs as Paymenter.
Original Review: A few things to note. This is pretty solid as a foundation, and works as intended. It does require some tweaking visually to make it function with some themes but this usually is not an issue if you are at this level of hosting. The administrative functions at this time are a little wonky comparably to others, but again some UI tweaks sort this relatively easily. The user functions are as follows: Start, Stop, Restart, Power off. As a dev, using cloud-init to deploy the servers is awesome, but things like additional IP's on purchase, root password display and change, ssh-key settings, and etc (all native to proxmox) are not implemented at this time. I hope to see these implemented as this develops. It is usable in its current state and only supports NoVNC, not Xterm.js. It seems to be less developed that alternatives at the moment, but I see lots of potential and compared to the alternatives, a very viable option I not only deploy, but utilize myself.
Update: After the developer contacted me directly post original review, we had a wonderful conversation regarding some of the feature sets and things that may or may not be implemented in the future. If you are looking for software developed actively, this is it. The developer/s are fantastic, active, and genuinely care about the product they release. I can not speak any more highly or their professionalism and enthusiasm of the product/s that they are producing. They explained that there are plans to add some of the features previously mentioned, while not others with logical reasoning behind the timeline and decisions. With regards to respect for the privacy of internal development decisions, I cannot comment any further on the specifics of these comments in good faith, but I can say one thing, being that I am most certainly excited for the product they have produced, and the polishing to come that will make this add-on vital and a true competitor to any other product in its category.
These guys know what they are doing, are good at it, and are humble. I rate 4/5 only due to 5's being reserved for perfection, but if I could, 4.75 would be my rating if I truly could. I can't wait to see what the next series of updates holds, and hold the development team of Paymenter (also behind this addon directly) in the highest regard. Support their efforts as nobody else in the industry when it comes to clarity, code quality, and customer service even comes close, and they do not drain the bank while doing it either.
(Please read this last section not as a "fanboy" comment, as I do not ever follow these notions blindly. They simply produce good code, at an unbelievable price, while still being approachable and humble to an extent that blows my mind.)
