Additions:
Changes:
- Ability to move/carry stretchers around
- Ability to create directional midpoints by allowing for slack to be introduced into a high-line system
- Ability to fast-rope without a harness from a hoist/winch
Fixes:
- Players on hoist system (non stretcher) gets pushed into a helicopter if the hoist operator retracts the winch
- Baskets clipping through the ground (again)
- High-line activation prompt increased from 8 studs to 15 studs. No more wacky carabiner movement/setups
- UI bug fixes w the hoist system
- stretchers not being able to be re-attached or attached at the rope-end
- Stretchers not being grabbable after being attached to the system
- Fixed not being able to pull players with you if you detach from a rope system with a picked-off player
- R6 harness for whatever reason wasn't r6 compatible??
- other random unnamed issues
- winch-ends are now separate from rope-ends and can be separately customized
- hoist operators are no longer conflicted between attaching themselves or attaching a stretcher to a winch
- fixed multiple guide-lines being spawned in as you attach/de-attach air-baskets
- air-baskets in general and their attachment process should be a lot less buggy now
# V2.0
Additions:
--- CAVEAT, this can be a bit buggy. blame roblox physics, I've tried to mitigate it as much as possible.
- Anchors can now be converted to highlines. This is done by taking the rope-end from one anchor, walking it over to another anchor, and using the prox prompt to turn it into a highline
- Users wearing harnesses can cross using a highline through a technique known as a tyrolean traverse. It uses the same keys as ascending and descending.
- Basket stretchers can also be attached to a high-line and be used to transport a victim and an attendant from one point to another
- RAS is now compatible with blizzard and has its own "winch" system. A template for this is provided within the model.
- An air-compatible basket ("Air Baskets" by default) can be attached or detached to a winch. Whether or not the helicopter spawns with a stretcher can be configured in the RASHoist config.
- Players wearing harnesses can directly attach to the winch and be lowered or raised through it. Players can also pick-off other players that are wearing hasty harnesses.
- If the hoist operator sends a basket out from the helicopter, it drops with a "guide-rope" which connects to the edge of the stretcher that falls to the ground. Any player on the ground can "hold" the rope-end and aid in preventing the stretcher from spinning out. Likewise, any air-baskets that are attached from the ground to the winch automatically deploy a guide-rope which can be grabbed
Changes
- Basket stretchers now have a central attachment point rather than two points at the end. This should also help keep baskets from spazzing out if your rope-ends aren't perfect
- If you're on a basket stretcher as an attendant or a victim, you no longer should be able to see proximity prompts not related to the stretcher (so no weird keybind issues or issues with operating the stretcher in the air
- Basket stretchers now only need 1 rope to operate, but you can put two on if you really want to do so
Bug fixes
- Weird ass bug with animations not loading is fixed
- Carabiners no longer pendulum swing if you drop em in the air; they now fall directly to the ground
- Lots of bugs that came about developing the various additions have been fixed. I'm sure there's other minor stuff that I've changed around too
Hotfixes & Bugfixes:
Additions & Changes:
- RopeEnd red brick has been replaced by a carabiner for "realism". Still changeable if you would like to change it
- Climbing harnesses, (models provided by FouledAnchors), have been added into the engine stock and are RAS compatible
- The thickness aronud the ropebags are a lot more thinner so it doesnt look like a neon green brick
- If you're on a rope and near a pulley (10 studs), when you detach, rather than falling straight down, it moves you a few studs behind the pulley so you can detach safely without the risk of falling.
Bugfixes:
- you can no longer touch rope-ends while actually being on a rope.
- cleaned up how heartbeat works, making the system a lot less intensive on the game performance
- small fix for basket stretchers falling through the map when they're placed down
- changed how rope-end dragging works so the distance a rope-end can be dragged is 20 studs from the player rather than 20 studs from the pulley
## Features:
-- Clip into an anchor and use that to belay/ascend/descend from.
- Lead belay system (really designed for climbing)
- Conversion of lead belay system into top-rope systems using RAS anchors
- Anchors can now be made with land vehicles (AC6 chassis-style vehicles), I will be making a tutorial for that in #tutorials at earliest convenience.
- A rescuer can now pick off a player who is stuck on another rope (single rescuer pick-off)
- A rescuer can now place a hasty harness on a player and then pick off that player
- Animations for hasty harnesses and being a pick-off victim
## Bugfixes:
- Camera creep when dragging around ropes and placing quickdraws have been fixed. No more objects being sent toward the camera
- Rope-ends have once again been fixed to not go through terrain.
- Lots of mini bug fixes and smaller fixes as I've built through the system
