What is SMP Rewards?

SMP Rewards gives your server a complete configurable rewards system for daily logins, streak progression, and automatic playtime rewards.

Players can claim daily rewards from a polished inventory menu, build a 7-day streak, and receive automatic playtime rewards after staying active on the server. Server owners can configure reward commands, item rewards, messages, chances, rank pools, bonus amounts, menu items, cooldowns, and formatting.

It is designed for SMP owners who want better player retention, better rank value, cleaner crate-key delivery, and simple reward automation without building a custom reward system from zero.

Built for Servers That Need Better Retention

  • Reward returning players — give players a clear reason to come back every day.
  • Reward active players — grant rewards automatically after real playtime.
  • Create rank value — use permission-based reward pools and bonus rewards for higher ranks.
  • Support your economy — run your existing economy, crate, kit, shard, voucher, or custom server commands as rewards.
  • Make rewards feel polished — use a clean daily rewards GUI with claimed, available, cooldown, and locked states.
  • Reduce staff work — automate daily and playtime rewards while still giving staff reset and reload commands.
  • Keep progress persistent — player daily streaks and playtime reward timers are saved locally.

Core Features

  • Daily rewards system — players claim one configured reward per cooldown cycle.
  • 7-day streak menu — default setup includes seven daily reward days.
  • Automatic playtime rewards — default interval is 3600 seconds and can be changed.
  • Weighted reward chances — playtime rewards use configurable weighted selection.
  • Permission-based reward pools — give different reward chances to different ranks or groups.
  • Bonus reward amounts — give extra reward amounts to players with bonus permissions.
  • Command rewards — run configurable reward commands.
  • Item rewards — give configured items with material, amount, name, lore, and enchantments.

  • Bundle menu icons — daily menu rewards can use bundle materials on supported versions.
  • Inventory overflow handling — item rewards that do not fit are dropped at the player's location.
  • Reload command — reload reward configuration without restarting the server.

Daily Rewards System

SMP Rewards includes a player-facing daily rewards menu.

  • /daily — opens the daily rewards menu.
  • Configurable cooldown — default daily cooldown is 86400 seconds.
  • Configurable streak start — choose the default starting day.
  • Optional reset after the final day — completed streaks can reset back to Day 1.
  • Cooldown bypass permission — staff or selected ranks can bypass the daily cooldown.
  • Claim validation — players cannot claim locked days or already claimed days.
  • Menu close button — default close item is included.
  • Background item support — fill empty menu slots with a configured item.
  • Custom day slots — choose where each daily reward appears in the menu.
  • Custom day materials — each day can use its own material and fallback list.
  • Configurable menu states — claimed, available, cooldown, and locked states can be styled.
  • Placeholders — daily menu text supports player, day, streak, time, and reward placeholders.

Default Daily Reward Setup

The default configuration includes a complete seven-day streak setup.

  • Day 1 — economy command reward.
  • Day 2 — crate key command reward.
  • Day 3 — item reward with material fallback support.
  • Day 4 — custom server command reward.
  • Day 5 — crate key command reward.
  • Day 6 — special item reward with configurable enchantments and fallback material.
  • Day 7 — special kit voucher command reward.

The default reward commands are examples. Replace them with the commands used by your economy, crate, kit, voucher, shard, or custom reward plugins.

Daily Reward Menu

  • Clean inventory GUI — players can see their current daily streak and next claim.
  • Claimed state — already claimed days show as claimed.
  • Available state — the current claimable day shows as available.
  • Cooldown state — the current day shows remaining time when the player is still on cooldown.
  • Locked state — future days show as locked until previous days are claimed.
  • Configurable title — style the menu title with MiniMessage or legacy colors.
  • Configurable rows — control the size of the menu.
  • Configurable fill item — add a clean background to the menu.
  • Configurable close item — let players close the menu through a clear button.
  • Bundle reward look — supported versions can use bundle items for a premium reward-pack style.

Automatic Playtime Rewards

SMP Rewards also includes automatic playtime rewards. Players are rewarded after reaching the configured playtime interval.

  • Default hourly interval — rewards are granted every 3600 seconds by default.
  • Minecraft playtime statistic support — uses the server's playtime statistic where available.
  • Configurable check interval — control how often online players are checked.
  • Configurable save interval — control automatic data saves.
  • Max rewards per check — prevent large catch-up bursts.
  • Retroactive option — choose whether first-seen players can receive rewards from already accumulated playtime.
  • Weighted selection — rewards are selected from configured chances.
  • Enabled-only rewards — disabled reward entries are ignored.
  • Reward timer command — players can check how long remains until their next reward.

Default Playtime Reward Table

The default setup is crate-key focused and fully configurable.

  • Common Crate Key — default chance 78.
  • Rare Crate Key — default chance 8.
  • Crimson Crate Key — default chance 5.
  • Gold Crate Key — default chance 4.
  • Prime Crate Key — default chance 3.
  • Amethyst Crate Key — default chance 2.
  • Special Crate Key — included as a configurable reward entry, default chance 0.

The system is not limited to crate keys. Any playtime reward can run commands, give items, and send messages.

Permission-Based Reward Pools

SMP Rewards lets you create different playtime reward chances for different ranks.

  • Default pool — used when no higher-priority permission pool matches.
  • Rank pool examples — default config includes example elite and legend pools.
  • Priority system — higher-priority matching pools are selected first.
  • Optional inheritance — pools can inherit default reward chances or override them.
  • Per-reward chance override — change individual reward weights per pool.
  • Rank-specific control — make higher ranks feel better without hardcoding rewards.

Bonus Reward System

Bonus rewards let you give extra reward amounts to players with specific permissions.

  • Permission based — each bonus can require its own permission.
  • Priority based — highest-priority bonus can be selected.
  • Sum mode support — bonuses can be summed when configured to do so.
  • Extra amount — increase the amount received from playtime rewards.
  • Message suffix — show players why they received extra rewards.
  • Rank perk ready — useful for donor ranks, vote ranks, event passes, and progression tiers.

Reward Actions

Every reward is built from configurable actions.

  • Command action — run a server command with placeholders.
  • Console or player execution — commands can run as console or as the player.
  • Item action — give an item with material, amount, name, lore, and enchantments.
  • Message action — send a formatted message to the player.
  • Multiple actions per reward — combine commands, item rewards, and messages.
  • Placeholder support — use player, reward, amount, bonus, day, streak, time, and reward display placeholders where relevant.
  • Inventory overflow handling — leftover items are dropped if inventory space is missing.

Commands

  • /daily — open the daily rewards menu.
  • /dailyreset <player> — reset a player's daily cooldown and streak.
  • /rewardtime — check how long remains until the next playtime reward.
  • /playtime — alias for /rewardtime.
  • /playtimereward — alias for /rewardtime.
  • /smprewards reload — reload SMP Rewards configuration.
  • /smpreward reload — alias for /smprewards reload.
  • /rewards reload — alias for /smprewards reload.

  • smprewards.daily.bypass — allows bypassing the daily reward cooldown.
  • dailcd.bypass — compatibility alias for daily cooldown bypass.
