Add a field to select which registrar a domain is bought / is currently under.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

What registrars should we include? Maybe the top 10? Can someone find a list of the most popular registrars worth including?

Namecheap,
Google Domains,
GoDaddy,
Domain.com,
Dynadot potentially.
A lot of people offer registration. I'm not sure it's a field you should limit to checkboxes, a text field is more appropriate.

Interacting heavily with the domain space around this community, this is a great idea, but here are my most common registrars:

NameCheap - Easily #1 throughout this community
GoDaddy
Name.com
PorkBun
Gandi
101Domain
HostGator
BlueHost
ChannelIslandHosting (Specifically for .gg domains)

As Ally mentioned, if there was a solution for adding in whois information, it would eliminate the need for specified registrars and display it through that lookup.

I propose a searchable dropdown, in addition to the "other" option. If the other option is used frequently for a certain registrar, then it can be added to the dropdown. A dropdown is likely way better than just boxes since it allows essentially infinite registrars without clutter.

And in regards to what it should start with, why bother looking at outside sources for the "top X" registrars? They're often just paid advertisements, or your big overpriced companies. How many people here actually use them? With the exception of Namecheap, I rarely see people using big registrars. People here, for obvious reasons, tend to use the cheapest registrars. Ones like Porkbun, Namecheap, and potentially soon - Cloudflare

Yeah just do the top 10. Everyone I know just uses GoDaddy and Namecheap since they have so many features alongside the domains. Hosting, mail, SSL etc.
