Specialty: I am amazing with the extra details, and just stuff that is generally missing I will remember. Whether that means a flower on a garden, or a slab on a bridge. I always add the extra details that puts the cherry on top of the builds.

I've been building since around 2012-2013 ish. I created spawns which I wish I still had access to but unfortunately I am no longer in contact with the owner in which I built for.
Scale of 1-10 knowledge of World Edit:
I'd say around 7 or 8. I usually build without world-edit because it shows more dedication to my purchasers. However if that is what the other people prefer I can easily adjust, no problem at all.

I would like to start off building without pay; I don't feel like it is a hassle to build. I enjoy it and it is something I love to do in my free time. At least this would give me a reason to do it. So yeah. I'd do it for free.

Specialty: Detail. Hand teraforming. I enjoy handling individual blocks so as to decorate an area -preferably organically- as aesthetically as possible. As a university art minor, I have a grasp of shape/form/movement and pallet that might escape others. I consider minecraft building an art form, and I treat each and every build as such.

Years Building: Oh goodness I hardly know anymore. I was building for quite a while before working for servers. A reference point however would be the date I joined the Minecraft Forums: 2 years and 16 days ago.
Scale of 1-10 knowledge of World Edit: 8 or 9? I don't have a good grasp of schematics or some of the generation type stuff. Nearly everything else I use though. I have a solid command of copy/paste/rotate/flip and fill/walls/outline/line/count/center. As a side note, I am excellent at using VoxelSniper.
Previous Build Teams: My building story does not actually include build teams. I have historically either ran my own temporary teams, or built solo. The largest project I ran was AsmodeusRPG, a multi-month RPG project. I have also built spawns, hubs, maps and lobbies for what must be 50+ servers at this point. If that sounds like a lot -it is. I went through a phase where I enjoyed doing "1 weekend jobs": I would join a just-starting server and build for free the entire weekend, then disappear -helping just long enough to get them on their feet.
Final notes: I can't stress enough that the style of building I do does not translate well into photos. I work really hard to make the "vibe" of a place feel a certain way -something that a photo cannot capture. Take my portfolio with a grain of salt then, and realize my work is best seen in-game.

I am new to the Minecraft Marketplace, so I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong section, or if I am not supposed to post this at all.
Having just worked with Alika Build team for the first time though, I wanted to drop a quick review so as to inform other builders what its like.
I was applying to join Alika as a paid builder.
Initial contact was pleasant enough. Whoever was running the Alika Builds Skype account was prompt and mature. No complaints there.
The first thing I was asked to do was build an application. Fairly standard right? The size of the application was enormous though. 250x250 blocks. On top of this my contact wanted the application finished in 1 and a half days because "we want to test your ability to work quickly on assigned jobs". Everything started to feel very odd and suspicious, so I started asking questions. Any questions about money, such as how much maps were sold for etc were carefully evaded. Eventually it came out that they were going to use my 250x250 "application" as their HCF map on their side server. Essentially my application had turned into me working for free on their HCF server. When I asked about payment, I was informed that as my build was only an application I wouldn't be receiving anything. I eventually figured out their rates, and from this I calculated the build I was doing was roughly 200+ dollars of work.
The ending of these events is that I stepped away from the team after finishing perhaps 15% of the application. I waited a few days to cool off, and am now coming here to post what I hope is a calm and objective review of working with Alika Builds as opposed to an angry rage post.
While I do not think the team is a complete "scam", I would not recommend working for them. As opposed to malicious map stealing (using a large unpaid build snatched from an application on their side server without telling me), I think they just don't have a good grasp of map size/effort/time. I am guessing they are fairly inexperienced as a team, and don't quite understand how to treat their builders right.
To sum up, I wouldn't recommend working with Alika Builds, as I find it a lot of suspicious work with no pay off. They probably arent scammers, but they also are not running their team very well.
