Jadeyn White, feel free to check my signature, I've worked with a number of large servers including Desteria, The Archon, Fadecloud, MineTime, etc to optimize NCP's performance and incorporate unique aspects such as kill aura checks. If your server happens to run 1.9, I'm looking to include a patch plugin which includes an additional layer of protection and blocks just about every original flaw with NCP, i.e Jesus, anti-knockback, fast ladder, kill aura (via NPCs rather than math like my other two current checks), auto-armor, packet sneak, Boat Flying, etc.
If NCP isn't quite appealing to you for whatever reason, I also recommend giving AAC (~$35) a try as it is quite activity developed but hasn't been all so 'hot' (popular) recently as more and more clients continue to adapt to it.
