it would be awesome if there was just some anticheat that worked well and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Seems impossible to get now though.
I have tried out many different anticheats, including spartan, antiaura, AAC, custom ncp config, and reflex.
Spartan's forcefield checks do not work for me for some reason, as they end up leaving npc's around the server randomly, leaving me with 37 pages of random NPC's after 1 day of enabling the check. It also seems to conflict a lot with my custom NCP config, causing many players to be falsely kicked.
AAC has not been updated for some time and looks like it won't be updated any time soon.
Antiaura seems like it has potential but I am not good enough with hack clients/plugins to understand what I need to set certain VL's and other settings to in order to avoid false positives while still preventing hacks.
Reflex had a hard time doing anything very well.
Custom ncp config on its own seems to work fairly well, but has several bypasses and is not very good with combat checks.
Would love to test herteirs, DAC, Janitor, and Solent, but I am currently in college and would rather not spend money on plugins before I know whether or not they will actually benefit me...I have attempted to test leaked versions of some plugins but they always seem to be outdated when compared to the non-leaked versions, making it hard to judge how well they will actually work.
