Fantastic service! I hired Riley for some administrative work, and he was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He is very eager to help with whatever you need or answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend. 5/5.

You say you're a "Junior Network and Systems Administrator" on your post here, but you are stating you are also an L3 (Level 3) System Administrator on your website. Which is it?

If you started this post in 2019 and never changed the thread design, and then updated your site in November of 2021, you went from L1 to L3 in less than 3 years? I just would like to know.

Thanks for taking the time to ask this, and further doing your research. I've been doing freelance systems administration for several years before getting any degree (and considered myself a junior at that time, having no formal education), and in 2022 I graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in Networks Systems Administration, and have since started my degree in IT Cyber Security!

The changes you're seeing on my website are more or less me trying to find the best way to word what I am role-wise, based on my education and experience. So you'll see before receiving my degree (2021 if you're looking at Wayback) I had the wording "Junior", and in April of 2022 you can see I adjusted the wording to "L3". So to answer your question receiving my degree was what triggered this change!

Also, thanks for reminding me to update this thread, I still had my old Discord (with Dicriminator) in text.

Yes, but this doesn't answer my question of your post being created in 2019, and you now being a Level III System Administrator. It has been exactly 3.7 years since you've created this post. Most industry standards state that being a Level III System Administrator takes a minimum of a bachelors degree in an IT related field, minimum 5 years of experience (7+ preferred), and an in-depth knowledge of an administrative programming language (Bash/Batch/Powershell), . I do not know if you have experience prior to creating this post, but judging by your design you have '6' years of experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) and some hardware. This sounds like it may have been a small homelab setup. If you really believe you have the experience and knowledge of a Level III System Administrator, you must also choose a side. I myself am Level IV in Windows and Linux, but that's because I've been doing this for 22 years. You seem like you are leaning to the Linux side for now, so recommend saying 'Level III Linux System Administrator' throughout your posts. If you ever need help with gaining certifications or trying to learn some more or even run into issues, I'm always available. My goal is to get all of the SysAdmins on BBB to have certifications of some kind and a thorough knowledge of Cyber Security, as that has been a lacking thought in the minds of some people on here and can be a major risk to all of our reputations. I'm happy you are getting a degree in it!

Good luck to you!
