How about, an event, where you kill something that has a butt load of health. And when you kill it you get a prize ( something valuable on the server )

You could have a daily thing where, it gives everyone a suggestion of who to fight against based on their statistics and then every round you get something out of it and the better the person the better the item.

Daily Bonuses, I believe there is a plugin with this.
Every day they log in they get like 1k, this makes people want to be active even though they don't like playing, they will get on just to get it, probably spend it on useless upgrades and pvp 4 fun then leave. But hey, as long as it works
