I need something that gives 1.8 clients 1.7 enchants. Hiding the possible outcome of the enchant in the enchantment table as well as fixing the anvil so that its all 1.7

I run a 1.8 jar with an old protocol support allowing 1.7 clients to join.

If you know how to fix this issue please let me know and if there is someone out there that can make a plugin ill pay whatever necessary.
Thank you.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

i don't think there is a difference between 1.7 and 1.8 anvils?

There is 1.8 anviling takes less levels than in 1.7 and if you're running a 1.7 jar 1.8 players run into the "anvil bug" where it ghost steals their levels showing them the wrong amount of levels needed and not combing the items

i think that bug occurs when you try to combine items with different names

If you're skilled enough with skript yeah sure
i am skilled enough with it but it won't be free because coming up with the algorithms to calculate XP for the combination won't be easy

"Algorithms"? You mean equations? It's not as hard as you're explaining it to be.

and yes equation and algorithm both relatively mean the same thing. algorithm is set of steps that are required before a calculation and an equation means the same thing.[DOUBLEPOST=1498959434][/DOUBLEPOST]

but he agreed to allow me to recreate it and make a fancy and custom GUI anvil

i dont think u know what equation algorithm or relatively mean
u used relatively wrong
algorithm step of steps required in calculation, not before it
and equation doesnt mean algorithm

oh really? i want you to look both definitions up and show me them.

Edit: an algorithm is what i would need to create the anvil system, not an equation.

Well, let's be honest here, the client doesn't really care about the technicality of what you'd call the math for it, and neither do most people here. You were attempting to make it sound complicated, regardless. If you can find the math for how the anvil levels are calculated in 1.7, this should be fairly easy. If you can't find the math, or some sort of method built into the 1.7 bukkit system to do it for you, then it should be darned near impossible. Either way, it's not complicated.

Doesn't actually take their levels, they just need to relog, it happens on ALOT of servers that are 1.7.10 and 1.8 compatible.
