I have this fork of tacospigot 1.8.8 that I want to use, but the hit detection is complete ass because it's a 1.8.8 spigot. Is there any way I could fix this with a plugin?
Most servers use spigots that are 1.8.X and use protocolsupport to allow 1.7 users to join. I have no idea how to make my hit detection like that. I know for a fact Zonix and PvPlounge use 1.8 jars and their hit detection is great.I was wondering that too cause a lot of HCF servers have really good hit detection compared to other 1.8 servers.
well the spigot I have is a fork of zonix's old spigot.. so idk xdWell they have developers that probably custom coded something for them so that's probably different.
It's just an edited jar, almost every "known" server has a slightly different jar, but I wouldn't called it unique. I have quite a bit of knowledge in managing servers (money, advertisement, etc.) and spigots, but this is something I never really worked on.Zonix most definitely has something unique; you can bet it on that for lounge as well. If you don't have any knowledge in this area, I wouldn't bother making a server unless you have help from someone who really knows what their doing.
yeah okUnless you have ran a 500 player Network before, you have no right to speak here.

LOL? I never said they didn't use a custom spigot you dumbo. He claimed that big servers such as Zonix & PvPLounge use non-custom spigots that months of work goes in for. That is an assumption that is wrong in many ways, and simply told him that unless he owns either of these servers, he has no right to speak for them.
