Hello,

I'm 16 and have a little bit more than $10,000 to my name right now. At the moment, it's just sitting in my bank, earning mere cents in interest. I tried to invest in the stock market, but when I lost $800 (the first few hours after I bought the stock, I was up about $300. I got greedy and didn't sell it when I should've and ended up losing my entire initial investment), my mom said I could no longer invest until I got older. I want to invest this money in a low-risk environment (nothing minecraft or game related please). If anyone has any advice, feel free to share.

I wouldn't mess with any "financial advisors". A lot of people think investing in mutual funds or similar funds which are done by "professionals" are better than you picking the stocks. These are people who all they have is they went to college and have a degree and decide what stock to invest in. Learn about stocks, there's so many videos and books online.

Stocks is not a day trade game, (Well other than penny stocks), you'd want to invest in long-term to build good wealth and take advantage of compounding. The sooner you start investing the more it'll pay off later on. I'd strongly advise against Financial advisor unless your not willing to read books on stocks, watch videos and really learn how to read company's sheet's I forgot what it's called (Where it shows like revenue and all that stuff).

However, the best ROI and most you will learn from is from whatever business you choose to pursue since, even if you fail, yeah you will lose money, however, you will learn something and in your own business you generally have control over the business so, I'd rather lose my money from myself rather than have some "financial advisor". I'd personally invest in something like Coke, Visa or some good company like that rather than put my $ into mutual funds.

Honestly, you should consider Minecraft that's a really good way to make money right now, I know investors who have made tens of thousands back from the game you just gotta pick the right people, if you'd like some help I'm more than down to set you up with a profitable network, shoot me a DM and let me know if you're interested.

Talk to a financial adviser.

I've been investing in the stock market for about a year and a half with the help of my parents who are heavily involved in that world. Currently it is not where you want to go, I've lost large amounts of money in the past couple months along with the rest of my family so I wouldn't recommend going into it until the markets start to rise again, which they will eventually.

If I was you I would contact your bank and invest in a long term, low risk bond, 5 years max, that will give you a steady amount of interest and it is relatively safe. That will generate higher returns than it sitting in a savings or a checking account and will also have a lower risk of disappearing as it could in the stock market.

Furthermore, as many others have said, don't take that money anywhere near a Minecraft server or listen to half the people on this forum who have little to no financial knowledge.[DOUBLEPOST=1544730918][/DOUBLEPOST]

Please do not listen or take this person up on their offer.[DOUBLEPOST=1544731208][/DOUBLEPOST]
Do research about what weed will stock Canada. If you find the right one you can easily 10x your money
Clearly you don't know much about current holdings, all major weed companies have lost 50% of their value past 3 months. The new weed companies that look lucrative to new investors are very high risk, if you invest in them be prepared to lose your entire portfolio as you well could.
