($10) I need lightning to not burn player drops.

I have a pvp server, and I paid someone to develop a plugin that lets you cast lightning with a golden hoe, using a gold ingot as the reagent. It works perfectly, but the only problem (and it's a big problem) is that the items dropped by the killed player disappear when struck by lightning. This even happens when the fire from lightning is turned off. The AntiFire plugin didn't do anything at all... The only thing I can think of is making players not able to die from lightning (just get to one half heart, like poison does), but if someone can figure out how to actually make lightning not burn drops that would be even better. The first guy only charged me $3 for the lightning staff plugin (I'm serious lol...) but I'll be more generous and offer $10 for this just because it's so important to my server. The only condition is that I ask you to edit the current plugin, since it's perfect in every other way.

Don't pay anyone for it, it's a really easy fix. All you have to do is replace the 'strikeLightning' method call with 'strikeLightningEffect'. If you don't know how to do this, just reply and I'll show you how.

Just use worldedit, type in chat : /rg flag __global__ lightning deny , it will disable lightning fire on ground.

Will that not still cause lightning damage? If it still causes lightning damage the strikes themselves will still despawn the items. It's also worldGUARD that adds in the regions, not worldedit.
