Requirements and other information Hello there!

We as a Minecraft Survival Server have found that players quickly quit a server after achieving everything like full netherite and a lot of money on the server. We've already got some other functions like Quests etc. but we're still missing "that thing" that will keep the players active. We're having a new season in a few weeks and really want to implement this in the update. The only thing I could say is to get creative!

That thing is creating a community. If you are able to find a way to get players to play with each other, then your going to have them stay for a while. The server still needs to remain good, and you need to do resets and such, but if you are able to have players create bonds and friendships with each other, your going to have high retention rates.

Maybe add custom items and enchants. Not just that but give players extra things to work towards and almost force them to work with each other. To do this use things like Nation Plugins and/or Custom Enchant and Achievement plugins.

I think adding Custom Enchantments is a big one too as many players want to be dominant. This means they'll spend a lot of time trying to get the enchant(s). Not just that but using Achievement plugins could significantly increase player activity, most players like to be rewarded and achievements allow them to gain XP easily. I think if you were to add extra perks into the custom achievements such as extra hearts it would work well.

In addition to that, Custom Bosses can keep the player interested. Maybe adding some Custom Ores which are very rare but deal a lot more damage to certain mobs too. It can help make players stay in the server longer. Maybe also add a drop for the Custom Boss if its defeated to give the players a reason to fight the boss.

Also maybe add something of a payout system to the SMP per month, it doesn't have to be actual money, it can be ingame currency or a crate key. It gives players another thing to work towards and makes them more likely to stay online.

Also try making custom mobs too, or just add in some mythical mobs. Those make it harder for the player and more challenging. It makes sure that there will always be something to do in the server. You can probably make the custom mobs drop things too. Maybe an enchant potion that lasts for 10 seconds but gives them immortality and is really hard to fight the mob, or maybe just a regular drop like rotten flesh.
