Hey there,

I am in need of a plugin that can relay sound to different parts of a map. I know sound is a tricky thing to work with in Minecraft, so I am paying top dollar for this plugin.

I basically need a plugin that plays music in different parts of a map. Not sound block music, but actual .mp3 files. I don't know how this can be implemented server-wise, if we need a resource pack then so be it. More information broken up into different paragraphs below:

The map is split into thirteen main sections. Each section has a distinct soundtrack which I would like played on loop. However, I would also like the option to override the music playing to play other .mp3 files to be executed via command (for example, /sound input [.mp3 name] [Sections in which to play this sound, for example, 'frontierland', 'frontierland tomorrowland', or 'all'.

In each section there are specific zones which cannot be affected, no music should be played in those zones at all, as we have a specific soundtrack and plugin for those zones.

The music needs to fade in and out and get louder and softer as you get closer to speakers, simulating real music.

More information on request, PM me to begin the job. I want an individual on this, not a team or a shop.

As far as I'm aware, I'm pretty sure you cannot play custom mp3 files. Only what is already in the game unless you use a custom resource pack to change it or you could have a website that plays the songs and direct the players there.

Info about the server type would be helpful (modded, etc). I'm not certain this is possible with a plugin, or at the very least it would have to be "faked" by playing noteblocks or some such if you wanted it read via mp3, as playing music from external files into the game isn't possible unless you're using a modified resource pack.

I'd need to look into it a little more to be certain, but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't need to be fake. Taking a quick look at hive jump pads, they made use of the bukkit sound class ("Sound.valueOf(Value.cfg_jumppad_default_sound.toUpperCase())") and used that to play their sound file.

Yes, but that would still require the sound file to be in the client-side resource pack. You can't play a sound if you don't have it, and the clients wouldn't have the sound without a resource pack. Either way, it would require a resource pack.

I severely doubt the OP wants this. That would require players to have the web page open to use that system, which breaks the seamless nature of the project more than a little. It's also impossible to get them to open the webpage automatically when they join, meaning every joining person would have to click the link to get audio.
