I was just wondering if anyone could provide their opinion of my build and if anyone is interested in buying it I am willing to accept the highest offer. Of course my build isn't the best and this is mainly about feedback and I was wondering if I should make any more.

I fixed it 5 seconds later XD
darn MCM's lack of auto-updating original posts XD[DOUBLEPOST=1449776679,1449776584][/DOUBLEPOST]First thing your build needs: depth. its kindof a generic term among builders, but it basically means that different blocks are extruded outwards (or inwards).
Right now you have walls that have simple checker-like patterns on them. Try bringing the stone brick 1 block out. and the logs as well.

Well, on the corner towers I implemented this, when I encountered a copy and pasting issue I decided against protuding blocks from the main walls. I went all out on the floor pattern, which took several hours, I don't know what I originally was going for but I think it looks rather detailed and unique!

you know, I hate when people do this. They ask for feedback on a build then proceed to pretty much "counter" the feedback by saying it was a conscious choice and that they're quite happy with the result
Of course it was a conscious choice, you dingus. I'm just telling you one way that would make it better, since that's kindof what you're asking for here. (or do you just want me to say its bad and leave it at that? that'd be anything but constructive)

Why is 'depth' important in minecraft? since there are no "bump maps" and only specific resourcepacks have 3D models with extruding textures, most of minecraft's textures are extremely flat. the bigger surface the worse it gets. So to counter that. you exaggerate depth and protrusions further than is realistic (aka a full block instead of just a little bit).

But hey, its entirely up to you. its your build. Just don't ask for feedback if you're not willing to listen to it and at least consider it, try it out a bit.

Thanks, I'll take that on board. It's yours for a dollar if you want by the way!
