Hey, I agree that a lot of parents and especially teachers tell students to pursue certain careers, but this doesn't mean they're all bad or you have to do so. Saying the entire education is flawed is something I don't agree with, and teachers are doing their hardest on very little pay. A lot of them actually make around 40k in states that aren't as rich or have higher education, and they work countless hours grading. Furthermore, if people didn't enforce jobs that were in demand, people who would be working at those jobs would likely suffer of burn-out and many of them leave from doing too much work. In better schools, students can have the ability to take classes on courses they want to pursue later in life, say Marine Biology (as an example) as this is less common. We should be enforcing schools to offer more classes, but to make it available, teachers would have to be paid more and school in general would need to have higher budgets from the state government or from the government itself. With that being said, I applaud you for being self-made and I wish you luck, but there are some topics I disagree with.In my mind, I believe that in the U.S. the teachers whether it's from high school to college teach you what the country needs., The country as a whole needs the doctors, the surgeons, the engineers, the accountants, the police, the army, etc etc. We need all these different occupations filled with such a high demand that's they offer you scholarships to go pursue these careers. If everybody knew how to trade stocks, how to invest into real estate. Then we would all be doing it making big money. but, that's now how our education system works. They want you to take the traditional route and pursue the occupations we are in demand for.
This is just to clear up on what I think why the education system is flawed making you know $160,000 as a doctor is very very good but I just believe that's not what I want to do, I wanna be self made and make money that way, it doesn't always work out but I have a head start what than most people start at
Call me dumb or stupid for dropping out but I am being mentored by current millionaires to pursue what I'm doing.
