Hey, guys so I'm new to the PC scene. I have an old shitty PC and have been saving for a few months now. I don't plan on playing games that need a lot. I play CS:GO, Rocket League and want to get PUBG. I'm at $750 and I know my parents would be in to loan me $300. I was wondering if I go for a PC buy now or wait till have like $1.6k. Will that make a big difference with the games I play? I also want to be able to edit on the PC, it's not a must have but it would be nice. Do you have any suggested rigs or parts? I really don't want to dip under a 1070.

Thanks,
Neek

Are you seeking to also purchase peripherals, including (but not limited to) the OS, monitor, mice and keyboard, etc.?

I've got this pc and it's around your price range at 1k. To put it in perspective it can play fortnite at 120-200 fps highest settings, pubg 90 fps at some high settings, and overwatch at 120 fps highest settings. I assume you're looking for a desktop though. Oh, and gta 5 highest settings @ 90-110fps

Wouldn't bother using an extra $600, there's little difference between PCs in that price range. My current PC is £1200, and my next best option was one for £1400, and the difference was 2GB more RAM and a different graphics card, which seriously makes no difference if you're looking to play games like that.

I built my PC for 1.3k and that includes spending 150 on a monitor. I was able to get an AMD ryzen 5 processor and a GTX 1060 gpu. 16 gigs of ram, 120 GB ssd and 1 tb hdd. Works great for me.

If you're only planning to play CSGO, RL, and PUB, you really don't need even a 1k pc. PUB is your only issue, and that runs fine on my GTX 960 with some settings lowered. With only the $750 you could probably get a 1050ti and run all the games you play very well.

Gotcha, thanks.

Do you like the ryzen?

I want the PC to be able to play future games as well. I dont want to go back and upgrade it in a few years.
Go for a 1k PC, you dont need to pay 1.6k for a PC to play those games (or any game I guess).
Thanks.

1050ti will do you great and then some. The built in recording software (shadowplay) is amazing. All you need for your lineup of games and then some. You'll run any new triple a releases for the next few years too. Can't go wrong with it. Personally, I'm still here with my 960 and I've only just started to have some sad moments (pubg plays at 60 fps on very low settings)
