Hey, I'm pretty much offering Basic and personal discord bots. E.G. Designed and coded for that specific server. I won't be doing advanced stuff for free. So If you'd like advanced information that's fine.
You'll need to:
- Make the bot on discord API
- Give me User ID & Token
- Wait for me to develop it

What I'm Offering:
- Standard - (FREE) Basic Commands (help, kick, ban, rules, ect)
- Premium - (£2.5) Music bot ONLY (Coded in Python using Just-a-bot)

Once you're happy with it I will give you the files and it will belong to you. I will not give advice or instructions on how to continue.
Reply with:
1. @ me when you reply for me to see this
2. Explain what you're looking for
3. Give your discord
4. Add me on discord (Connor#2003)

Give me User ID & Token
Never ever give your token out to anyone. You can create bots yourself and test them and give them the code at a later point.

They make the token and the bot so I test it, then I send the files to them and its their deal.

That's like saying that I need your house keys for mowing the lawn in front of it and will give it back to you once I am done. It makes no sense at all.
Create your own test bots and do not use the ones by others for it.

For users: Never give out your token, it is like handing over a password. Sure it can be changed but this user has the power over something which is under your account for the time.

No... Their bot, I'm just developing.
So if I am a worker and build a new house, I will have the keys for it until they change the lock? Doesn't make sense, does it?

You need to understand that handing out the Bot token is a serious risk as it is comparable to a password, and you wouldn't give out a password, would you?
With the token, you have access to something which is working under another user's account and is, therefore, their responsibility. If you mess something up when developing the bot which is against the TOS of Discord or generally against the Discord API, the bot owner is responsible which shouldn't be the case as you would be the one who messed up. This is why you use your own bots for developing bots for others and let them use their own ones once they want to run it with the files.

You can use one of your bots to test the code on, then you just tell the one received the code to replace something with their bot token. No need to use theirs

The token nothing like a password. A password isn't used to Turn on and Off. Its simply to save my Discord API space as I have too many bots on it. If you don't like it stop trashing my thread please. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1546617091][/DOUBLEPOST]

I don't have to do it like that. I like it easily and simple.

Oh, boy, you clearly don't know what you're on about. Giving away your token practically worse than giving away your password, as you don't need anything else such as the email to access the account.

Further, create your own bots. A piece of code you write is not tied to that bot, you can use it for any bot, so create your own test one which has been mentioned many times.

A token IS like a password. Simpler, it is EVEN BETTER TO HAVE than a password. Every user account, for example, uses tokens too.

I would never work with this person as they not seeing the security risk and also would advise others to not do so either because of what I said above.
I will stop replying to this thread and this should also not be interpreted as trashing but more as a warning for everyone thinking about using this service.

(Ever saw discord servers getting ruined because anything in there was hacked or used by another person without their consent, this is the way to go if you want that to happen. Or at least it is the first step to get there, not accusing the thread author of any malicious intent.)

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you've only just got into bot development, and that's why you're developing these for free.

Any Discord service will use their API, including the web-based and desktop-based apps. This means that anything you can do on the web/desktop-based apps, you can do with the token (as these use the API obviously, and is authenticated with the token).

This is why you should never share your Discord token unless with trusted individuals; to reiterate tiehm's point.

If you're running out of space, even though I don't think there's a limit on the number of bots you have, create an alt... (you only need one bot, as you will only be running one at a time while developing them)

The limit is 10 bots last time I checked, however, Discord stated that you can use an alt account which is dedicated for development and nothing else.

If there is a limit, it's increased from ten then, since I've tested up to twelve just then and doesn't block me from creating more.

Good luck, just one suggestion instead of making players give you their bot token etc. You could create a config file where they change the bot token etc in when you send over the files.
