I agree with everyone, I don't think they're particularly great. If I had to pick, it'd be the 1st just because it matches my pf.

This is the nicest one I've seen. Another idea could be doing red to grey. I'd say red to white, but that would end up being more pink than I'd like. Then again, y'all love some pink, so it could work out either way.

I think that the black, gray, and white colors wouldn't stand out enough, as the black would blend into the dark theme and the white would blend into the light theme. Also, isn't it already bold? Perhaps a splash of color mixed in with gray would look nice.

To clarify, I don't mean white-white. I mean a lightish shade of grey, like the text in my sig. I doubt one would be necessary, but if y'all want to do full black to white, you could have an outline around the whole thing. Black outline for light theme and white outline for dark theme. Heck, the outline would make it look unique compared to all other gradients.

While this colour does look really really nice, something very similar was offered in our staff chats for a “fire to ice” colour. Ultimately I said that none of our colours are going to include red for the gradients, it’s far too close to being the staff colour.

It looks like you've narrowed your mind to these 3 options, but I thought I'd suggest another one nonetheless.

What about black to grey and white? I know it would have to be more black than grey because banned accounts are grey, but I still think it would look ballin'. Maybe add a teeny bit of bold to it (not much, just a tad) to give it enough flare to stand up to all the other colors. Idk, maybe it's just me. Thoughts?

Problem with greys is that they don’t stand out, and would be difficult considering we have light and dark themes for the site. I also don’t want to give one charity colour more bold (or an outline) than the other ones and do like consistency with it.

The first colour looks like a slightly more extreme version of C, except it’ll be really hard to read on light theme.

The second option is just our special effect username colour from our fundraiser not last time, so we can’t do that again.

The colors that Mick has chosen are great looking.
But I think people want something that has to involve with the color Blue. What I was thinking was maybe do Blue and Orange, Perfect combination if you want your name to stand out.

We currently have a tonne of name colours involving blue, I’d rather we pick a colour that we haven’t added much before.

We have premium blue, dark blue, water.org blue, and cyan.

The same is also the case with purple/pink I guess.

I’m pretty sure we tried blue to orange, it looked horrible every time.

Considering the restraints we have with colour picking, like having to make it suitable for light/dark, not include red or other common colours, not be too similar to our current colours, not be too flashy, I think we did a pretty good job with it. We spent a lot of time in the staff team brainstorming colours and although some are more liked than others (Justis), we’ve not really got any other options other than the ones I’ve listed.

If you’ve got some hex codes to give me then I’d love to see what amazing gradients you can come up with .
