Hello, this is our build teams first creation that we are selling on MCMarket.

This features a stone related pallet in the Medieval Build form. It has 8 portals with a beautiful color scheme.

This is an auction, but can be sold out instantly.

Since this is our first sell, we are not accustomed to McMarket prices, please leave suggestions!

Auction Start: $50

Increment: $10

BIN: $150

Organics can be bought for extra, along with anything else wanted in this hub.

Game signs can be added for no charge!

- Destiny Builds

For any clarification, trees are categorized as terraforming.

Organics such as dragons, and things of that nature can be bought for extra, game signs are free.

Well yeah. But you don't see people buying $200 - $400 everyday. Maybe 1 or 2 a day but for the most part people don't spend more than $200 if they can.
Oh well ye sorry

I can see by the mountain that there is just a copied selection all around, I'd sell this for under $50.

The trees are copied pasted, all the sides are copied and pasted, about everything in this is used with worldedit. Even the mountain is copied and pasted on all 4 sides. The pillars are boring and the roof is a bit straight, with no detail it doesn't look very appealing.

Trees are not copied and pasted. The only thing that is copied and pasted are the mountains above.[DOUBLEPOST=1415471008,1415470942][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm sorry, you're not going to get anyone higher than $100 through this, even the organics are copy and pasted, aswell as the terraforming around it.
Organics are not copied and pasted.

The only thing that is coped and pasted are, obviously the portals, and the land above the hub.

Ye, I just finished a build for $400 :p
But those builds were custom to the clients liking. Somone might pay 100 for this spawn if he asked for this specifically.

First of all $200 for a spawn is basically a requested spawn {the way you want it}
Second, it is what most people say, no one pays over $200 90% of the time.
Third, It is just copy and paste. A thirteen year old can do that. Build 1/4, //copy, //rotate 90 {3x} //paste {3x}

Hey destiny builds, i've been reading the comments and thought id chime in. The amount of work put into something doesn't necessarily mean you can charge more for it. Its all about the skill shown and detailed look and feel of the project. I could spend a year making a video game and it probably wouldn't be worth more than 2$.

I usually base a builds price off of how fast id complete it/ how pleasing it looks.

Since this would take a competent builder around 30 minutes to complete id say going even above 20$ is pushing it as that's more than twice minimum wage in the us for that amount of work (getting technical haha )

I mean no disrespect and the general idea behind the build is nice. I'd say try putting more thought into the structuring of everything and filling in of the area. It may be copied and pasted and yes most builders doing commissions do this, but after the initial worldedit you could go back in and add extra stuff to other parts of the build to make it less symmetrical. Maybe even different layers, like a valley between the portals with a lake on the bottom.

When working with a flat open space like this it brings so much more depth and atmosphere to add layers and elevations into your structure.

FOR EXAMPLE:

LKoXpCN.jpg

This build is mostly squared off and had a flat surface but using different elevations and pathways/staircases I broke up the flatness of the build and it gave it much more depth and a sense of direction for players.

Otherwise keep practicing!

The thing is, I can see where you copied and paste the same grass / stone on all sides. Not saying that is a problem, and we kind of messed up on that, but why should World Edit bring the price down when it's symmetrical?

I mean, would they like a non-symmetrical hub, which therefore lowers the price down once more?

You can be completely symmetrical and it look good if you know how to do it. Most are just kinda blatant uncreative edits. Also unsymmetrical custom builds would cost more than symmetrical obviously. It's mostly used to keep the price of larger things down low, so instead of a completely custom unique 200x200 hub costing 400$ it could take 1/4th as long and cost only 150

That's true. Well thanks for the advice!
