23rd of september, worlds end. Is it fake?

I am in fact a very religious person, going to churches nearly every Sunday. But, I really don't think that the world is gonna end. Going by my Bible, it clearly states that God and only God knows exactly when the world will end. All of these fear-mongering imbeciles that think that the world will end due an eclipse are just plain ignorant. I mean, if you ask me, they should have learned their lesson back in 2012 if you know what I mean.

I am a Muslim person, in our religion it says that there are "marks" that would show before the world ends, for example, Palestine would be free before the world ends (that is true). The sun rises from east to west, when the world ends it will rise from west to east (that is also true). There are some other marks that will take 40 years before the world ends. Do not forget the coming of Dajjal is one of the biggest signs out there. So I believe that the world will not end, go live your life, have fun

That's actually somewhat interesting. Did you know the Earth's magnetic field has reversed many times in the past, with the last one a mere 41.000 years ago? Magnetic north and magnetic south flipped, meaning magnetic east and west would theoretically have flipped as well. That last time only lasted 400-something years (instead of tens if not hundreds of thousands of years). Considering the flips can happen every 100.000 to 1 million years, and not everyone's sure the one from 40K years ago should be counted, we might be due another one in the next few millennia.

Considering the magnetic field of the earth weakened to 5% of its current strength back then, that happening again would mean a disruption of our everyday life for sure. if it happens at the same time that a big solar flare takes place, it might actually cause serious damage to the earth, and while I doubt it will wipe humanity off the map, it may still seriously damage civilization to a point where it's changed from what we know now.


Ofc, this is just idle speculation, there's little indication that this'll happen within the lifetime of humanity. It may be we end up destroying ourselves before it ever happens. I don't expect it to happen in this century, probably not this millennium.
